Supersport Park, Centurion

Centurion Park is one of the newer grounds in South Africa, having only opened in 1985. The town of Centurion was built around the stadium, a short drive from Pretoria to the north and Johannesburg to the south.

In 1995, it became South Africa's eighth Test match venue, when it hosted the first Test of the series against England, confirming its reputation as a good, bouncy wicket. A grass bank often features fans enjoying the traditional South African braii (barbeque) and offers some relief from the intimidating stands that tower over the cricketers.

It may be unatmospheric, but this modern ground offers excellent viewing facilities for spectators and high standard practice facilities and dressing rooms for players.
