Dressed in shimmering pink and wearing sparkling diamonds, a resplendent Aishwarya Rai was the cynosure of all eyes at the opening ceremony of the 56th International Cannes Film Festival at the Palais de Festival.

Part of the festival's prestigious jury, Rai is seen attending the premiere of Gérard Krawczyk's FanFan La Tulipe, which enjoyed an out-of-competition screening like Devdas did last year.

This is Rai's second visit to Cannes. She was there last year with Devdas director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-star Shah Rukh Khan to publicise the film.
