US for joint team to track Laden: Report

The Central Intelligence Agency had proposed a joint team comprising sleuths from the United States, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan to trace terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden, media reports said.

The joint intelligence team would also finalise a strategy to co-ordinate the impending US attacks on Afghanistan, the reports said.

The sources said the joint team would particularly indicate those areas where Osama could possibly be hiding inside Afghanistan, The News said, adding US officials would be guiding the members of the joint intelligence network.
