Musharraf to meet religious and political leaders

A day after the all-powerful army corps commanders conference approved the proposal to allow US the use of Pakistani airspace to bomb Osama bin Laden's bases in Afghanistan, President Gen Pervez Musharraf has decided to discuss the matter with political, religious leaders and the media.

"The President will take into confidence religious and political leaders and senior journalists on the fast emerging regional situation," official sources said.

"The meetings are likely to start from Monday next, on the same pattern when the president held talks with leaders of different walks of life before the Agra summit," they added.
