A youth, who has allegedly sent an e-mail threatening the life of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, is being questioned by Kerala police.

The mail was sent to Rashtrapathi Bhavan office about four days ago from an internet cafe at nearby Palarivattom in Kochi, police sources said.

The mail also stated that bombs would go off in Delhi, Kochi and two other places, they said.

Initially the sources had said that the youth has sent a similar e-mail threat to President Pratibha Patil also, but later clarified that the mail only threatened the life of Sonia and was sent to the Rashtrapathi Bhavan office.
