Two persons, believed to be activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, were killed in a bomb explosion on Monday at Cheruvanchery near the politically sensitive Thalassery town, in Kerala's Kannur district, police said.

The incident occurred around 0730 hrs when Pradeep and Dileep, both in their late twenties, were reportedly engaged
in making bombs behind a grove in the Kannavam police station limits, police said.

The explosion ripped apart the body of one of them. Police said the two were believed to be RSS activists.
