The body of Jyothirmai, a medical student who was killed in Birmingham in London, was brought to Hyderabad on Saturday.

The representatives from the Wolverhampton University in Birmingham Ashar, Jojennmetti and Roberts, accompanied the body.

Jyothirmai's family friends, including former mayor Jandhyala Shankar, former legislator Adusumilli Jayaprakash and Deputy Mayor Anne Prasanna, received the body.

The district administration also deputed senior officials to help the family in conducting the final rites.

Meanwhile, the representatives of the university assured the family members that Jyothirmai's fees would be refunded and handed over to them soon.

Jyothirmai, who was pursuing a masters course in public health in London, was killed by alleged burglars in her rented house in Birmingham on May 6.
