Mohammad Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured for carrying out the Mumbai terror attacks, reportedly used a fake identity card in the name of a Hyderabad college.

Investigators have found that Kasab was carrying a fake ID card of Arunodaya Degree College in Hyderabad's Dilsukhnagar.

The college is situated near the Sai Baba temple in Dilsukhnagar where a scooter bomb exploded in 2002.

The ID card recovered from the terrorist has address of the college and it is issued on the name of Naresh Verma, a Nagole resident.

However, when contacted, the higher police officials refused to confirm it, saying it is only a media report.

The principal of the college Radhakrishna denied reports that an ID card was issued in the name of Naresh Verma from his college.

"We have not issued any ID card in the name of Naresh Verma during the last five years and our records show that there was no enrolment of any student by that name", the principal said.
