Four jawans of the Indian Army were killed and two others were injured when their vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wedensday, said official sources.

Four Army personnel died on the spot when a mine-protected vehicle of the 23 Rastriya Rifles unit fell in a 300-feet deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Digdol on Wednesday afternoon.

Troops rushed to the spot and rescued the two injured Army men, who were sent to the Udhampur Hospital. According to Army sources, one of them is in a critical condition. The jawans involved in the accident are yet to be identified, said the sources.
