Expressing displeasure over the just-concluded third roundtable conference on Jammu and Kashmir, the migrant Kashmiri Pandits Thursday said that the meeting "failed to address" their grievances.

In the executive committee meeting of the All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee -- a conglomeration of 16 political and social organisations, its members said that the meet ended in a "dismal note" without addressing issues relating to their rehabilitation, massive encroachment of temples and religious properties in the Kashmir valley.

"The migrant Pandits' community has been ignored in all respects and governments at the state and Centre are giving only lip service to their return to the valley," APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit said.

The slogan "return with honour and dignity" which was raised in the early nineties and revived by the present government, has proved to be hollow, Pandit said.

Since there was no specific action plan to rehabilitate the Kashmiri Pandits, the community was heading towards extinction from the state, Pandit lamented.

The members alleged that the government was in no mood to solve the issue although the APMCC had given a proposal in this regard long back.
