A six-member team of the separatist All Parties Hurriyat Conference, headed by chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on May 3.

The decision was taken after a joint meeting of the APHC executive, general council and working committee held at the Rajbagh headquarters of the separatist conglomerate.

All the six members of the APHC executive will meet Dr Singh. The delegation members besides chairman Moulvi Omar Farooq include Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, Moulvi Abbas Ansari, Bilal Gani Lone, Fazal Haq Qureshi and Aga Syed Hassan.

Talking to newsmen after the meeting the Mirwaiz said the APHC had adopted a unanimous resolution condemning the massacre of innocent Hindu villagers in Doda.

He said that such 'sad incidents take place at sensitive time. We must guard against them. Some forces are trying to divide us on communal and regional lines. Every community and region of the state has a role in resolution of Kashmir problem'.

"Those who perpetuate such crimes are enemies of peaceful settlement of Kashmir," the APHC chairman added.

When asked whether the May 3 meeting would be a prelude to Dr Singh's round table conference in Srinagar later this month, he said, "Let us not link the two. In a crowd there can be no meaningful discussion."
