Twenty-five persons, including 2 Central Reserve Police Force jawans, were injured in a powerful grenade explosion near the main bus stand at Pulwama, 45 km from Srinagar.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital at Pulwama. Some of the critically injured persons have been sent to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

A top police officer told rediff.com that militants hurled a powerful hand grenade at a passing CRPF vehicle near the main bus stand, injuring 25 persons.

No militant outfit has taken responsibility for the blast yet.
