Army renovates 66 schools in J&K

The army has renovated 66 schools, most of which were in a dilapidated condition, under Operation Sadbhavana in Jammu division.

According to a press release from the defence forces on Monday, about 5000 children have received books and uniforms. Since the schools follow a play-way methodology, more children are keen to attend classes and are even come in to play on holidays.

Apart from educational facilities, the Romeo force of the army has also augumented infrastructure to boost games and sports in these schools, the release said.

Further, the Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Fatepur renovated the government girls middle school in the area and constructed a basketball court. The division has also established a micro hydel project, which will provide power to the school.
