One can't pick on Dubya -- the President's nickname -- alone, of course.

Given the fact that President Harry S Truman famously referred to the White House as the 'crown jewel of the American prison system,' most American Presidents have sought refuge outside Washington, DC during their terms in office.

While Richard Milhous Nixon preferred Key Biscayne in Florida and George Herbert Walker Bush, the present President's pa, liked Maine, Bill Clinton picked Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.

The most famous of vacationing Presidents, until now, was Ronald Reagan who spent an impressive 335 days at his ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

George W Bush is all set to surpass that figure.
