Three lawyers on Wednesday filed public interest litigations in the Bombay high court challenging the abrupt transfer of Mumbai Police Commissioner P S Pasricha to the Maharashtra Police Housing Corporation and sought a direction to restrain the government from shifting him.

Hearing a PIL filed by advocate Anil Bogade, a bench headed by Chief Justice C K Thakker directed the government, Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Home Minister R R Patil and Director General of Police S M Shangari to file their replies in separate affidavits by February 12.
The other two PILs filed by Prashant Surve and Rajkumar Mishra did not come up for hearing.
