Tell us your dreams for India

'Our greatest problem are our politicians'

Since I am a journalist, I would restrict my comments on the media. I would like to see the media grow by leaps and bounds.

Unfortunately, an unwritten rule ensures that job opportunities go to people with the 'right connections.' This prevents the most talented from coming forward and leads to blunders and goof-ups which we see often. This must change.

I wish to see an India where all sections, castes, communities and groups of people can develop, prosper and achieve their goals without narrow walls of prejudices and bias.

Our greatest problem are our politicians who ignore genuine issues and blow up contentious non-issues inside and outside Parliament.

What I like about our country is the faith we have in family values and relationships. This is decidedly one thing that gives strength to Indian culture and customs.

As told to Onkar Singh
