Hurriyat, Pakistan condemn temple attack

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference on Monday condemned the attack on the Raghunath temple in Jammu, but said that until the root cause of violence is addressed such attacks will continue to take place.

A spokesman said the loss of innocent lives by any means is regrettable and the Hurriyat Conference believes that the sanctity of all holy places, irrespective of the religion, should be upheld.

Meanwhile, Pakistan too condemned the overnight attacks on temples in Jammu as 'terrorist' acts intended to escalate tensions in the region, in a statement issued by the foreign ministry.
