Sonia Gandhi to visit Jammu,
Blackwill expresses outrage

Congress president Sonia Gandhi would on Monday be visiting Jammu where 12 people were killed and nearly 50 injured in a militant attack on the Raghunath temple on Sunday night, party sources said in Delhi.

She would meet Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during the one-day visit and is likely to assess the law and order situation in the region, they added.

Meanwhile, US Ambassador Robert Blackwill on Monday met Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani and expressed his outrage over the militant attack on the Raghunath temple in Jammu on Sunday night.

"What I told him (Advani) was that it was hard to think of homo sapiens who would plan and think of attacks like this, knowing that the victims would be innocent women and children," Blackwill said.
