Vajpayee sends letter to Bush

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has sent a letter to United States President George W Bush urging him to 'act speedily' to stop Pakistan from sponsoring cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence Secretary Yogendra Narain disclosed this to Indian reporters in Washington.

Narain, however, said he did not carry the prime minister's letter.
