Britain's Jack Straw to visit India, Pakistan

In view of the war clouds gathering over the subcontinent, Britain has decided to send Foreign Secretary Jack Straw to India and Pakistan next week in a bid to help reduce tensions between the two neighbours

A foreign office statement said: "The possibility of war between India and Pakistan is real and very disturbing."

"The international community is watching events with mounting concern. This is a crisis the world cannot ignore," it added.
