RSS for trifurcation of J&K

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Sunday demanded trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir to resolve the vexed Kashmir issue, rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits and compensation to farmers in the frontier areas who have suffered losses due to military build up on the borders with Pakistan.

Adopting a resolution on the Kashmir affairs for the first time at its national executive meeting, the RSS said Jammu and Kashmir should be divided into three parts - Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.

The RSS demand is on similar lines with the stand of another Sangh Parivar outfit -- the Vishwa Hindu Parishad -- which has sought division of the state into four -- Jammu, Ladakh, Kashmir and a separate enclave for the Kashmiri Pandits.

Flaying the goverment for not taking any concrete steps to rehabilitate the displaced Kashmiri Pandits, the resolution adopted on the concluding day of a two-day meeting demanded that they be adequately rehabilitated.
