Your Views:The nexus is nothing new nor is it any surprising. Considering that the underworld has been allowed to spread its tentacles and establish itself in any and every field of business, I do not think it is any of the celebrities fault that they need to have a cordial relationship with them. We would not be surprised if we come across a transcript of a real estate magnate or a hotelier or a diamond merchant having a similiar small talk with the gangsters. It is just because the person in question happens to be a celebrity like Sanjay Dutt that the issue has got so much attention. Considering the happenings, the money earners have only two options. Either keep away from the underworld and face their wrath or befriend them and secure themselves. I did not hear a word of sinister talk in what Dutt and Shakeel spoke to each other. It was just a casual talk and they were not hatching any conspiracy. So why is there such a ruckus ?Cleansing needs to be done, and it cannot be done by Sanjay Dutt not talking to the dons. Rather the police should be after the dons and clean up the mess than releasing transcripts of a 2 year old conversation. I hope they wake up and act at least now. Otherwise..

Your Views:Yes; Appoint K.P.S.Gill. He will work out details. Step-1 : Local gangs supporting people like Chotta Shakeel should be identified and eliminated. Step-2 : The victims who are willing to take revenge should be recruited by the POLICE and be given a special training. Seperate cells should be created for India and Overseas. Some of them be deputed to Indian Embassies with a special mission to establish their own network to track wanted gangsters and eliminate them either through Local Government's assistance or through some other means. Step-3 : The Hollywood stars taking assistance (some under threat or some willingly) from such underworld people should be identified and booked under Law. Special Courts should be established for speedy trials (judgement within 6 months). If need be, Law can suitably be amended. Step-4 : A protection levy (% of income) should be imposed on all the stars, etc. and by using this money, POLICE (Special Force) protection should be provided to all those whosoever wants it. All the complaints shall be handled by this special force. Step-5 : Finally, complete elimination of organised gangsters is the answer to this blot on the society.

It is important that there be proper and legal source of financing so that young and upcomming filmakers do not have to look at the easy way out.

Your Views:There is lot to do if one really thinks of making our country India free from such dirt (Mafia) which is creeping into every form of stable and developed structure of our country. So Bollywood the so called showbiz definitely is too much into this. My Suggestion 1. Defame the so called famous heroes ban them from appearing in movies till the case is solved or proved innocent 2. Kick their asses put them in Jail dont let them free and spread this.. 3. Raid their properties and all connections to get to the root. To really get rid u have to immitate what they do in movies, even the third degree torture which these gentle bodies can't handle.

Your Views:YES. The root cause of the problem is lack of funding and the reluctance to accept cheque payments by actors. When cash becomes the operative word, it invariably comes from unrecorded and mostly nefarious sources. The problem therefore, is much more of an Indian psyche of receiving payments for goods/services, partly in unaccounted cash. If the construction industry which was notorious for their 60:40 or worse could reform themselves to such an extent that they accept only cheque payments, i see no reason for the film industry to accept full payment by cheque. While you may have an occassional Aamir Khan paying his taxes, most of the film industry lives luxuriously but contends that they make only meagre sums and pay paltry taxes. If the criminal elements are to eradicated from this industry they have to accept some harsh realities a) their remuneration must be linked to a film's success, atleast partially.. they must be held accountable for cost overruns caused by their irresponsible behaviour b) the industry must voluntarily follow transparent accounting thereby leading to availability of legitimate funding for films. c)the distributors must also follow transparency.

Your Views:No! It cannot be, because, although some of Bollywood people may be willing to keep away from the underworld, they cannot, as they are afraid of getting killed if they don't listen to the dons. It is our government's duty to provide security to the Bollywood stars. And unfortunately they are not able to do that. So mafia will be there attached to Bollywood.

Your Views:Yes mafia can be separated from the bollywood only if every one belonging to the film industry make a strong resolution to not pay heed to threats from mafia and extend cooperation among themselves to be united to face any kind of situation by taking help from the Govt. The industry will outnumber mafia people count wise and also financially. If their life and their earnings are transparent to Govt. then they can have full support from Govt. But pitiably they lack sincerity towards Govt. in terms of right way of earning and that is why they are facing these precarious situations. This is the time and opportunity for them to change and protect themselves and become responsible citizens of India. I wish they will realize that this is the only option and come into the correct stream of life.

Rakesh Roshan getting shot does not prove that he is an exception. Everything is staged and faked with due care - this can only stop when the Government declares this as an industry and puts more audit on the films.

Your Views:As we know in last few years there has been a tremendous decrease in underworld activities, it is only because of strengthening the hands of Mumbai police by the last few governments, but in some point to save their own persons they change law also as happen with TADA and this is the reason why we are seeing these culprits out of bars. but strengthening the police is many time politically motivated step, directly or indirectly they want to hurt the image of opposition party. I think after freedom this was the worst kind of politics we saw. to delink mafia from Bollywood it is necesaary to give more powers to police and ensure that police use power only for the welfare of common people rather that welfare of politicians or businessmen.

Your Views:I dont think Bollywood can be delinked from Mafias.Since it generates a large amount of revenue, and lots of glamour, money is in this industry ,the Mafias will control the industry forever. In todays time where lots of big budget movies are made, producers having lot of money are required. These producers are getting crores of rupees with the help of underworld. The source of income is either smuggling or jewellery business or ammunitions. So these two are interrelated and have a strong bondage. The Mafias decide the star cast or gets a lot of money from the producers ,failing they threat the producer or the stars and even may put them to death. The police is and will remain inactive in this matter. Because the politicians are also involved in this game. So this sort of events will remain happening and no one can help it out. The only solution will be to shut down the film industry. But it will not be possible only from the entertainment perspective but also because of the fact that it is the largest revenue generating industry in India. So,the game continues.

Tell Mumbai police to tap phonecalls of all film personalities suspected of the underworld connections particularly with those based in Pakistan & Dubai. And people like Bharat shah take those links to make huge money. To clean the bollywood we, the people, should ban watching movies. Let it happen for one full year. Your Views:To delink bollywood from mafia the cooperation of government, police as well as artists is necessary, as the condition is serious and film industry is totally based on mafia funds because of that production cost of the film is increasing day by day.If it cannot be delinked at proper stage than it cannot be delinked in future, so the police need to do their job with immense hardwork and determination to delink mafia and bollywood. The role of film actors is very much essential to delink mafia from bollywood. The government needs to take strict action on those who helps the growth of mafia and should not show any bias. we need to put a fullstop on these activities and we should see that mafia should not grow in the film industry and should be eliminated not only from film industry but also from the country, so the better role should be played by the government and punish strictly those who helps mafia to grow.

Just think about the serial bomb blasts that took place in Mumbai which was condemned by the whole world. If the person by blood is a real Indian then he shouldnt appear for his case as a lawyer. And the whole society should ignore this people. They shouldnt be punished in a single day. All through out the life they should experience the insult. No person should give him a chance to act. No person to sell anything to him and he shouldnt be allowed to go out of this country. No worker should work under him.He should be completely avoided by this society. Not only him also his family who encouraged all this things. It shouldnt be the punishment of one person sitting in chair. It should come from each and every genuine Indian who suffered on that day.

Put them behind bars with no chance of parole (whatever the Indian equivalent is). These so-called film personalities should be arrested and tried under POTA, as traitors, and for complicity with terrorists against national interests. Then they will have a first hand experience of the fiction they portray in Movies. The first one should be Sanjay Dutt. Your Views:Yes, mafia can be delinked from Bollywood, if you make a law that if any person found any connection with mafia, his/her movie will be banned through out the country. Second, our judgment take a long time to punish the culprit. We should make a special court for these cases, which has to clear any case within the time bound frame. Because they knew that with the use of their money and power(with political link) they will be free bird.

Your Views:Mafia can be delinked ...provided our politicians try to wipe off their hands with them and do their jobs truthfully. It is not just enough if any one body(police or CBI) takes the responsibility of cleansing bollywood. when any kind of raid(income tax..etc) happens, it should be carried away with the honesty, so that there would be control of money and may route towards many evidences against all those who r really inolved in this. In the end, i would say.... It is better to control bollywood rather than tying to control mafia. (When u control and stop one hand going forward..., automatically the other hand finds it difficult to shake hand with the other.)

First it is known to high authorities very early about it and they too are made to sit quiet and let it happen. but as proportions are now beyond the limits so can be seen everywhere and felt heavily by everyone, and this pressure is unbearable to society and govt. machinery as they are becoming prey of this poisonous association that endangers the social fabrication and norms of civilised world. The main point to think about is the non sensitive world of capables who are least effected and bothered about this underworld pressures. we need to be vigilant and have senses to estimate the loss done by this evil and have guts to cut it into pieces so that the society again will feel free and will be able to play fair in general and to all.

Your Views:Given the current scenario it is very diff to cleanse or delink the mafia from the film Industry. It should have been dealt with sternly as soon as the early signs of the links were available to the authorities. And this was long back in the eighties, when Mandakini Govinda etc were linked to the shows in Dubai. The main reason for the nexus is funding for the movies and the income genetared out of it in the form of national and distribution rights. Now that Bollywood has been given an Industry status, some of the fund constraint can be done with as producers can approach the National institutions of Legal loans. The entire procedure of Making, releasing and distribution of films should be made transparent. and of course the legal proceedings should not take time. The guilty should be punished , no matter what his/her profile and star status.

Your Views:The tapes are indeed saddening. Film personalities who are looked upon with awe and respect by the millions are let down by such unholy nexus. But nothing in the tapes reveals the true motive of film stars going to the mafia. Several times, Manjrekar and others have said to Shakeel, "we are with you." Why are they with him? For fear or greed? Or is it just the Indian tendency among the rich and elite to do things their way, never mind the law? While greater professionalism is a long term solution, the immediate need is for the government to act tough and stop all possible ways of mafia making its presence felt. First, stop all foreign currency spending on movie production since that is one easy way for mafia to fund the films. Second, the banking system has to be stronger to prevent black money. This is actually a larger evil but is essential in this context. Third, stronger income tax vigil on the earnings and expenditure of all film related personalities. Thus, several wings of government need to be determined to cleanse the system. Do we have the will to do this? So far, we have not - which is why India is suffering? When will this change? Who will change it?As always,GOD knows!

Your Views:I strongly feel that the world of bollywood should be very distinct from the underworld. Bollywood in whatever small or big way has a social responsibilty for the upliftment of the image of Indian society in the eyes of the World. They are quite instrumental in shaping / moulding the mindset of the masses, the common man per se. People come to know of the links between the bollywood stars and the underworld "stars" no matter how much they try and hide them. It is quite unfortunate that masses "imitate" bad things easily and faster than the good things from the movies and the movie stars. The styles, habits and the outlook are adopted completely by the masses. The so called nexus between the stars of the two worlds also entices the common man to idolize and idealise the evil ways of the goons and the "bhai log". I personally feel that it can be avoided by the law. There has to be a different norm for all movie stars and people linked with the film industry that would inculcate the resistance within the group as a whole to keep their distance from the underworld. The clean / clear image of the bollywood is required desperately.

Your Views:It's almost impossible to separate Bollywood and the underworld because of the fact that Bollywood has been an effective means of bringing out the black money to the mainstream. As far as cleansing is concerned, this is only possible if people stop flocking the theatres to watch the movies, by shelling out their hard-earned money, which again goes to the underworld.

Your Views:There are a lot of ways in which this can be done but the one i think will work is to ban the film industry for at least 5years or so. There will be no movies produced or shown in or out of the country in the next 5 years. This will lead to a non-interest generation of the underworld and they will leave the industry and its people as there are no more profits to be made. Having said all this though one needs to ask! why after knowing so much the police is doing nothing? why are the politicians not saying any thing? why is sanjay dutt still out and about? It to me is a big party that all of these individuals enjoy they are all involved from actors to politicians to the police. Come on think about it would all this work on such a large scale without every one being a party to it? The only way to change all this is people stop looking at themselves and look at the well being of the society. If people start fearing the law and the laws are enforced. IF the politicians can stop thinking about the money they can make and start doing something for the country. Why are chota shakil and dawood still not in india's hands? why do film stars go to dubai and destroy our flags?

How traitors and anti-india elements have managed to entrench themselves with the aid and assistance of indians themselves..the luminaries of bollywood, the businessmen, politians no doubt.. who are all responsible.

Even the use of force on the stars having links with the mafia,to extract information about them, can be considered. this would slowly lessen the effect of mafia on bollywood and might cause a sort of an unrest among them. It is obvious they would strike but then the police will have to make a masterplan to nab the extortionists or their agents in mumbai. Even a few encounters of the gangsters or their associates would go a long way in infusing terror into the heads of the mafia. This would slowly delink the mafia.

Now to the question of if the mafia can be delinked, I think it will be extremly difficult because in India we provide perfect environment (due to corruption, greed, lack of nationalism etc.) for these elements to prosper. It would be worth trying though and first step should be locking all these 'Bhai stars' behind bars. And especially Sanjay Dutt should be made an example of.

Your Views:It really hurts to see Sunjay Dutt embroiled in all kinds of controversy. But just a sec, before we condemn him - let's try to put ourselves in his shoes and decide how would you have handled the situation when you come in contact with the mob? His entire conversation with Shakeel smacks of Chamchagiri, trying to please him, trying to be in good books of his. Often complaining like kids - about his colleague's late-coming habit or his colleague's jibe at another colleague. Same is with Sanjay Gupta and Mahesh Manjrekar. About Harish Sugandh I am not too sure. Secondly, police says they provide protection to those who approach them- do you think our police can really provide protection to the Stars and all their family members round the clock - throughout the year? Sorry, I don't think so! If they are so paranoid about underworld - why can't they just go all out by hook or by crook and get these underworld guys shot dead from wherever they are operating? Na rahega baans, na bajega baansoori! But for that too our cops and the Government are too inefficient! Instead of finishing off the problem from the root the best the they can do is to play chess using these people as pawns to settle their own personal scores and the Media misses no opportunity to sensationalize it as much as possible! Yes, this still doesn't mean those close to the mob should not be punished for their. I am sure - they could have asked the mob right in the beginning at the time of getting introduced - "Bhai, aap to foreign mein baithay ho, agar aap ke chakkar mein police hamein pakad li to hum kya karenge ya aap phir hamein kaise bachayenge?

Sanjay Dutt case is clear... and its know that he is out on bail for his earlier alleged possession of weapons supplied by mafia....And also censure/ boycott all those bollywood people who openly symphised Sanjay Dutt and others.... Why should we have such people in the industry. They are mere cost to the society... and are wrong role models for the younger generation... The film industry finance should be properly scutinized... and producer of a film should produce proper books of account showing the sources of funds and expenditure. Futher, the private shows in which film stars perform abroad should be organised only though some registered organisations which is accountable to society and government.

Your Views:Pretty tough I would say. For that to happen the mafia would have to be delinked from the police, the politicians, the industrialists, the media, the judiciary etc etc... Unless the politicians will it, it wont happen. Politics has to agree to a law, which will then be approved by a bunch of politicians which then has to be handed out by the judiciary and enforced by the police...withstanding pressures from all sides including the public ...remember these are actors and like some actor-politicians have shown very good at garnering public sympathy! All this is a very tall order

Your Views:first of all we need to stop idolising these stars and see them for what they are - spolt selfish brats who are definitely no where close to the patriotic, squeaky clean images they enact. they should be treated as traitors for that is what they really are. we need to have strict laws and close monitoring of film finances to dissuade any intentions to contact the underworld. this whole affair is disgusting and more so because our generation looks up to these so called idols. don't we already have enough of heroes in this great country of ours, real people who have had the courage of their conviction and something that these filmi folk might not have heard of -Integrity and a selfless love for their country.

Your Views:1) The exorbiant budgeting has to stop. The Money needs to come from Local sources unlike in big budget films where it comes from dubious sources. 2) The Stars themselves to have to care for their reputation and those with proven underworld links have to be boycotted. 3) The public has to care the most and awareness has to be created to boycott underworld linked stars or films. This is however a far cry knowiung the reputation of the Indian public. 4) The Crime fighters should be less corrupt and adhere to strong and flexible laws to fight crime Nothing is impossible if you have the grit, determination and political will. However this does not apply to india since it is a country who makes nuclear bombs but cannot bring a single sandal wood smuggler ie. Verappan to book.

Your Views:Looking at the current scenario,It would be very difficult to delink or clean the Bollywood-Mafia connections unless there is a strong political and public will. The evidence of such a nexus was trickling in right from the mid-eighties when Mandakini govinda etc were seen at a Mafia dons party in dubai. This issue should have been dealt with seriously since then.It should not have been allowed to grow and strengthen. The poison is in the blood now, which is almost impossible to pump out now. The silver lining in the cloud is the granting of Industry status to Bollywood. This should give the producers better avenues to chanelise their funds to produce their movies. And the juduciary should deal sternly with whoever is cahrged with such an allegation,Usually the star status and public following takes precedence. The film industry by itself should be aware that "Inki na dosti achi na dushmani" and keep themselves away from such elements. They should not approach the Mafia for solving their internal problems, which they do as is evident from the tapes that are recently released. We dont want our Filmi hero to be a real life Villian!

Your Views:Bollywood has really moved into the mud so much that it would be a herculean task even to bring out the inside story on the link with the underworld. It is virtually impossible at this time to clear up the mess that has happened. Like the match fixing scandal, the smoke will remain even after the problem is dealt with. It will certainly bring the film industry into disrepute and tarnish the glamour of Bollywood. As long as the mafia is strong and safe, it is impossible to delink it from the tinsel town. The first steps should be taken to control the mafia. If that can be crippled, Mumbai will be free from a menace that is shackling the dreams of people. Then, people can enjoy the movies & film makers can make them peacefully as well.

Your Views:well to an extent it can be cleansed.the only thing required is will and good understanding of the nexus existing between the film industry and the underworld. The accused people have to be brought to justice quickly. The law takes a lot of time to hear the case which has to be made to move a bit more faster. The film industry people have to be made aware of the consequences and a close watch has to be kept on them. and whereever needed good security arrangements have to be made available to them. The Law has to keep a strict watch on the finances involved in the making of the film and the sources of such finances. well it wud take time but then there is no short cut to success. This is a very complicated link and to sort this web, some amount of clear cut planning and through understanding of the relationship is required and not just a look at the surface and wild accusations being made, as this wont help in any way.People like Sunjay dutt and the like have to be throughly understood and spoken to as to get to the root cause of such happenings. well the bottomline is that any one living in this country has to show some amount of respect to this motherland n be law abiding.

Your Views:This has been a regular affair in India. Once it was the land of sacred monks. Whom you will hold responsible for present situation ,politician or film star? Every one trying to have great personality over night by hook or crook. Whoever he may be, should be severly punished. The punishment should be such, which will make others not to think about the wrong activities. Why we respect those who are spoiling our motherland? Now the question is who will take action against whom? All kinds of crime around the country nowadays is done by the people holding higher position like star or politician. They are law maker and also breaker. Our people are not aware of the things happening around because most of them are poor and illiterate. In my view... we should be bold enough to face those who are indulge in bad activities. Come and fight together to make our country prosperous . Mafia can be wiped out only when the people in every corner of the country will feel the effect..... otherwise not. Today you will see criminals are under police custody, and tomorrow the same addressing a huge crowd how to eradicate terrorism from our country. Unite and fight ......should be the only mantra .

Your Views:The nexus between bollywood & the underworld however denied by stars is a reality. Stars are looked up to as idols by younger generation & such behavior from them is unacceptable. Moreover its shocking to notice the callous nature of their dealings. Its becoming more clear that these stars like Sunjay Dutt & producers of 'repute' work towards their ends & in the process destroy the very being of India. They are even more dangerous than the worst of criminals & communal elements. Should these nexus be proved in a court India should think of imparting capital punishment in the form advocated by Saudi Arabia where they are publically condemned to death. the tape conversations are ample proof that Sanjay Dutt has not learn a lesson & that he is definitely a traitor. If Sunil Dutt has some ethics which he advocates, he should rise above 'relation' to disassociate with elements such as his son. The court proceeding for instance itself is lagging for too long & thus taken for granted by the culprits that at the end of the day they have enough time to sort modes to escape. Films acted by Sanjay Dutt & others associated should be banned while the film industry should ban them also.

Your Views:It is really difficult to do that. The film stars are really helpless, one side it is the police and the other side it is the dons. They have no choice but to be nice to both sides. Sanjay Dutt after his previous experiences with law would not entertain the dons, but if he does not, the dons will threaten him and if he does the police will harass him. So what does a man has to do. If a don calls from some X country and threatens to talk or else he will kill him, then the person will choose to talk to him rather than go to the police and make a complaint because no matter even if it has to a big minister, he/she will always avoid dealing with the police. I would advice the police to stop harassing people here and get the dons from the other countries.

Your Views:It very common that where the large amount of transactions are going on, there is a chance for existence of some underground forces like mafia, smuggling. Here in this the bollywood is a place everyday a lots of amount is changing from hands to hands. In bollywood everyone is very wealthy fellows irrespective of their job what they are doing. Big financiers are coming forward to invest large amounts in it. This is not that there is no talent, but the income floating in is in very high proportionate when compare to other industries. Of course the risk is also very high. But when the amount comes in, where from it is coming, how it is coming in no body bothers, but people wants only investments whether it is in good nature or not. Now when we come to the point of allegations, people should not believe on such till they proved. But one thing is certain that is there will not be any smoke without flame. Already bollywood carrying bad reputation all over the world because of these allegations although it is having a craze for its products. But one thing I want to mention here is that investing such a large sums just for entertainment is some how not a wise thing, there is some other field
