Cash awards for CRPF personnel for fighting terrorists

Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi has awarded Rs 1.60 million to jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force in recognition of their gallant action while repulsing the terrorist attack on Parliament on December 13 last.

While the family of late constable Kamlesh Kumari has been awarded Rs 200,000, Assistant Commandant Anand Jha, constables Rakesh Kumar, Mahipal, Hansraj of the special duty group (SDG), Head Constable Y B Thapa, constables Sukwinder Singh and A R Chiyari have been awarded Rs 100,000 each, a CRPF release said in Delhi on Tuesday.

Sub-Inspector Neeraj Paliwal, Head Constable Horo Mukut, constable Shyambir Singh of the SDG, Inspector Mohan Prasad, Head Constables Harsh Singh and G Appa Rao, constables Rameshwar Ram, Manoj Kumar, P Kalimuthu, Mufut Lal, Vijay Bahadur Singh, Kulwant Singh, D Santosh Kumar and R Siva Chandra Reddy have been awarded Rs 50,000 each, it added.

All these personnel were actively involved in fighting the terrorists, CRPF sources said.
