Your Views:The controversy is only like the kettle calling the pot black. In its regime successive Congress governments allotted petrol pumps and gas agencies only to its tribe and relations. But when BJP did the same, Congress has cried foul. If what NDA has done is something of a crime, what the Congress did in the past was still a more serious crime because it followed no rules except whims and favouritism while NDA did give the semblence of following some procedure. What Congress did in the past cannot justify NDA actions but, at the same time, crime committed by Congress in the past cannot provide halo of morality. What the Congress did in the past and what BJP did today stand on the same footing. If BJP has cornered such allotments to its own leaders or their relations, so has done the Congress. Congress demand for Naik's resignation can stand the test of morality only if it declares that, in future, it will deny Congress nomination to fight any election to all those who got allotments of petrol pumps, gas agencies and the like in their own name, in their family or relation's name. Will the Congress display such morality? Easy to preach but more difficult to practise morality.

Your Views:The question is very difficult to be answered by any sane person. But the most important point at this moment is that shall we give such time for these smaller issues when there are problems of Mental Reunification of the people of this nation at large. Poverty, Unemployment, Positive attitude, a very Naughty neighbour in the shape of Pakistan are issues worth thinking. As usual the media is toasting on these foolish issues, and so are the Ill Informed & Zero Insight Politicians. If you have word somewhere in the top rung, please tell them 35% of Indians still do not know if they will be able to earn their next meal, if they are so caring please ask them to come forward on debates concerned with common man.

Your Views:Look for political reality. This like all other scams has one bottomline, the funding of politics in India. From PM downwards the law is bent for personal gain first in the name of the parties interst & this small leeway becomes a floodgate. The stakes are huge that all succumb or are thrown aside. Time has come when the public administration of India needs a surgical review so that the new model can learn from the present lapses & emerge afresh. Till then Mr Ram Naik & others will keep on emerging from the rubble personally honest or not!

Your Views:If your neighbour burns his bride, are you supposed to condemn it or make it an excuse to commit the same crime? Since he did it, why can't I do the same? What kind of people are supporting the BJP in the Petrogate scam? The BJP may not be a party with difference but its apologists certainly are people with difference. A society whose intellectuals take sides on Party lines can only give you people like Capt. Satish Sharma & Mr. Ram Naik!

Your Views:Nothing will happen in this case also and will be forgotten as time passes by.Moreover the same way of functioning will continue.Did Mr. Modi resign when the world was screaming that he was responsible for abetting the riots? What happened to Mr. Fernandes, even after having a video coverage of bribe being taken in his official residence. The above all are still in office. So Mr. Naik will also stay in office. The BJP is one step ahead of congress in corruption and try to justify that Congress "did" it also. It is very clear now that the poor citizens of India are left with the choice of electing a Government which is less corrupt. Unfortunately this all happens only in India

Your Views:If the govt is willing to change what is happening since last 20 years then it is wise to ask the minister to step down. if you are doing the same what last govt's were doing then there is on difference in all the parties and govt's.what were happening from so many years is also faileur of opposition who have not checked and correct the misdeeds at the right time.

Your Views:yes. He should give up the post when he is not aware of the developments taking in his deptt. We appreciate PM"s open auction of petro pumps.Atleast every thing will be crystal clear. Bjp should follow and adopt the policy, once declared by Swantatra Party of 1956 period. There is no diffirence between BJP and Congress.

Your Views:Yes he is guilty but his resignation is not the answer to the ongoing currupt politics. Infact this is right time for him to take the lead and clean the system for ever. This the time for him to improve the image of BJP into the masses. Let the congress feel its heat and the after effects of its own deeds.

Your Views:why should ram naik be made a scapegoat? All political parties are a corrupt lot.they do favours to their own kith and kin only, whether it is congress or it is bjp.there have been so many scams in our country.the actual culprits have never ever been brought to book.even in the time of congress, there was a lot of favouritism in allotments.now they are behaving as if they are the most honest among all the political parties existing in our country.we,the people have been the sufferers all along.the core problems faced by us have never been addressed by any political party.this is another ploy to divert the attention of the common man from core issues.like other scams, this also will die a natural death.public memory being short,we will just take this too with '' aisa hi hota hay apne is mahan desh mein, hum kya kar saktey hain".and life will go on for all of us.tomorrow another scam will be unearthed. Once again ,the proceedings will be halted in the parliament.at the expense of us tax payers, these politicians are enjoying.the common man has lost all hope as they have no voice in our country.thus,it can be concluded that the scam is to gain political mileage by various political parties

Your Views:In my opinion, Prime Minister Atalji has done excellent job of cancelling permits and licences of Petrol Pumps, Gas Allocations etc. The Petroleum Minister Ram Naik need not resign. What Congress has done in its tenure of ruling India? Only scams , scams and scams. With what face they and other Oppositin parties talk of Ram Naik's resignation?

Your Views:The loot continues. Is Ram Naik guilty? Does it matter? Was Satish Sharma guilty? Did it matter? Active attorneys and our soporific judiciary will let the guilty get away. The Prime Minister has cancelled the allotments. Is it because some niece of his is also an allottee? On what basis did he cancel the allotments? On the advice of his "honourable" cabinet colleagues like Naik or his niece? There is one way a patriotic legal community (if one such exists) can help - by refusing to defend in court politicians so obviously tainted by scams. Our judiciary can pitch in by not setting aside convictions on purely technical grounds - the judiciary should implement the law in letter and spirit. If these two are done, then the Naiks and Sharmas of this country won't get away. Nor will a disappointing Prime Minister degenerate from a statesman to a cover up artist.

Your Views:1. every minister is responsibleand and accountable for good or bad in his department. naik must be held responsible and booked for misuse of power. 2. it is a pity that ex judges were availabe for and appointed to camouflage illegal allotments. judicial councils, bar associations and senior jurist must condemn acceptance of such dubious jobs by ex judges as it brings disrepute to the fraternity of judiciary. 3. authority and responsibility go hand in hand. product is accountability. unfortunately our politicians want authority but shed and part with responsibilities to beaurocracy and no accountability for any one.

Your Views:Mr. Ram Naik is not involved in that scam his mistake only he is the present head of the respective department. That scam is going on before BJP lead govt. since cong. govt. time .It is a leg pulling of the BJP govt. Today who is blaming who(Cong) has given the corruption to the country. So I think Mr. Ram Naike is innocent in that scam . With regards ER. Ramesh kuniyal

Your Views:No, Not guilty In fact, how else will the politically connected/involved people earn. It is better to work and earn than to earn otherwise which most of the politians do. This has been happenning for past several decades and in fact most of these breed, cutting across party lines (tilted in favour of those who have ruled most of the independent period) own several such favours. It is nothing ut hypocracy. After all something has to be done by the opposition in the parliament, and that is being done by making all these drama, a sheer waste of hard earned public money.
