Your Views:The government decision to auction the pumps to the highest bidder will result in only strengthening the petrol pump mafia. Who else will have the money power except the adulterators who have become rich at the cost of the exchequer ?

Your Views:In my view, Ram Naik should definitely resign, because BJP made a big noise when the then Congress minister (Sukh Ram) did the same. They had blocked all the proceedings in the Lok Sabha then and now they are facing the same music from the opposition. The very fact that the PM has cancelled all allotments after 2002 clearly indicates that there is something wrong, otherwise the PM and all his cabinet would have backed Ram Naik. BJP should also not forget that the very person (Sukh Ram) because of whom they made a big issue, was made their friend just to form a government in Himachal Pradesh. BJP says that it is a party with a difference - it certainly does not look like that. I firmly believe they are as corrupt as the Congress, if not more.

Your Views:No one person is "guilty". Scams happen when you allow them - and in India, unfortunately, the system actively encourages them! The license raj continues gloriously unabated in India - after all, can anyone explain what on earth selling petrol has to do with government?!

Your Views:I feel that overall, in the present political situation, there is not a single political party, which could boost off its honesty before the citizens. The only point they have to make is to put the blame on the others & clean their collars. Indeed apart from singing, dancing & cooking the most important hobby of our politicians is making money, irrespective of party affiliation or religion, caste creed etc.. It's upto the people of this country to teach them a lesson for the betterment of our future leadership..

Your Views:No,It is not the first time nor will it be the last time that such favours have been doled to the ruling party supporters. It is like the pot calling the kettle black. I think the Congress should look into its past before it can raise such a hue and cry. The only good thing about the whole episode for us, the common man, is that the BJP will now wait for an opportunity when it is in the opposition. I hope it will be like a gang warfare where the gangsters will shoot each other.

Your Views:This is shame to the people in public life. Prime minister should cancel all the licenses of workers of all political parties since from 1980 May be this tradition started during the period of Ms.Indira Gandhi. And it was become common during the period of Mr. Rao When I obsreved this this scam I immedeately remembered the dailoge of Late Rajkumar "Jo Shishe ke ghar me rahate Hai Dusaronko Ghar pe Patthar Pheka na hi karate"

Your Views:I was told that for each and every tender that was called for about 3000 to 5000 applications has been received .The biggest daylight robbers are these retired Judges .How come the Judges award 200 points or the maximum points out of these 5000 applications only to the Politicians? These judges had the veto power to deny any application .One can understand if they had done favour for 1 or 2 guys .When so many skeletons are coming from the cupboards it is sure the biggest robbers than the politicians are the Judges ... These judges always deny justice and help corruption to grow .If the judges are doing the job good no one can escape ...

Your Views:Ram Naik should not resign. He has made his position clear. The opposition should be ready to investigate all the allotments of agencies made by previous Govts.if they are honest. The very fact they are not ready for this shows that they are all hypocrites. They are wasting the precious time of the Parliament by indulging in mud singling

Your Views:First of all, for good or bad, its wrong on the part of opposition leaders to recommend the names they know. It all boil downs to doing a favour to the people whom they know (may not well deserve them). On the other hand there are thousands who are suffering down the poverty line and with a good qualification in hand and turning out to be a liability to the country. Those people well deserve these licenses. It should not be a cause or fate on these people's part for not knowing the so called famous/hypocrite politicians who are trying to take advantage of their position and seat in making things go wrong for entire country and deceiving the poeple who are the reason to vote them into the office. At the same time, Ram Naik, should make his brains work and do his job for himself in alotting the pumps. After all, that's the reason he is taking the pay from the government and should do his own job with out hearing to the recommendations rather than complaining and trying to defend himself by taking the reason. What the hell these people think of themselves as? They are accountable to answer to the people who vote them to the office and making them take the oath of not doing any favour.

Your Views:There is an old saying in Hindi " Lohe ko loha kaattha hai". No doubt Mr. Ram Naik is not guilty but it is the system which is guilty. First the congress did it and opposition including BJP raised hue and cry over corrupt system and favourtism and now the same BJP is cleverly trying to hide its misdeed by saying that this has been done by DSB. If DSB is truely responsible for it then the DSB should be prosecuted for such a mess and nobody should be spared whatever be his position but that will never be done. BJP is now coming out with the plea that since congress had done it in the earlier days, we cannot be blamed. Don't they realise that BJP was voted to power for a similar mess by congress and perhaps it is now their turn for going out which has already started. Politics is now a profession and it is high time when strict rules should be framed for the politicians as well as have been framed for other public servants.Politicians now do everything to mint money during their regime by every means often throwing the rules to winds or circumventing the situation to their favour. In other words the general public is being befooled and they beleive them again and again & vote to power

Your Views:This is a Farce by the Opposition. They donot want the Government to Function. Now, when the names of the beneficiaries from the Congress Party are being declared, the party says that BJP is Blackmailing them. How to believe them and whether to believe the BJP. The allotments of the Petrol Pumps and Gas Agencies over the Past Several Years has been a Major Source of Giving Favours. Especially, during the period when there was the so called Scarcity. The Artificial Scarcity Created by not allowing Fair Competition, by restricting the new entrants in the business. I feel the entire Hulla Balloo will be Over if there is no scarcity. That will end the Gap between the Demand and Supply. Instead of the Beneficiaries running after the Ministers, it will be the Companies offering the Agencies openly to Public. If you want to probe the Deals of Mr. Ram Naik, then the Deals made during the Past Ten Years Should also be Probed. This will be a fair approach in my view as an Ordinary Citizen.

Your Views:He is , indeed guilty.Typically all politicians do not consider themselves guilty, because every politician of every party is not free from corruption. Politicians view corruption charges as political charges - since all charges are driven by political considerations and not a matter of moral turpitude, of which they are all guilty in the minds of the people . For politicians corruption is not politically incorrect.

Your Views:Mr. Ram Naik is the cabinet minister of the ministry which was responsible for allotment of petrol pumps to BJP functionaries without following the proper practice. He is the boss and thus holds the moral responsibility of all the misdeeds of his employees. So even if he is not directly involved in the distribution of petrol pumps to the members of "Bhartiya junta Petrol Pump Party", the malpractice has taken place under his nose. So he should follow the example of likes of lal bahadur shashtri and Madhav Rao Scindia, take the moral responsibility and resign from the post. But resignation of Ram Naik will not clear the rot. This practice has been going on for ages that the members of the ruling party get the benifits of the power .Indian Express team must be congratulated for unearthing that scandal. But we have seen what has happened to tehalka and tarun tejpal and the wrath of govt. can now fall on the indian express group. The situation is even worse than emergency and BJP is a "party with a difference". We did not expect this from them. But Atalji is a man of substance and if Ram Naik doesn't resign he should be stripped off his post
