Speaker G M C Balayogi adjourned the Lok Sabha till Monday following pandemonium when the house convened. In a replay of the last two days' events, both Opposition and ruling party members rushed to the well of the house, shouting slogans against each other and calling each other 'chor' over tehelka.com's expose of corruption in defence deals.

Both sections of the house started shouting slogans against each other five minutes before the house convened at 1100 hours.

The speaker appealed to them to go back to their seats but the members did not listen and kept raising derogatory slogans against each other.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pramod Mahajan tried to persuade the treasury members to go back to their seats but refused to heed him and kept standing.

The Rajya Sabha was also adjourned till Monday following bedlam, after Chairman Krishna Kant's efforts to restore order the house failed.
