Woman rescued on day six: PTI

A 51-year-old woman was rescued alive Wednesday in Ahmedabad after she remained under the debris of her apartment for more than five days since the devastating earthquake shattered Gujarat.

Jyotsanaben Vasanth Gandhi, who was taken out in a serious condition and admitted to the V S Hospital, was responding well to the treatment, doctors said.

However, the fate of her family members remained uncertain, official sources said.
