Al Qaeda's pointman arrested in Jammu

Jammu police on Monday said it had uncovered a network of Saudi terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda organisation in the country with the arrest of six people, including the outfit's pointman and chief of the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen Qamar Ayub Ahmed alias Ayubi and a Palestinian.

Ayubi was entrusted with the responsibility of establishing Al Qaeda modules in the country, IGP (Jammu) P L Gupta told reporters in Jammu.

Ayubi also hatched plans to target the MLAs's hostel in the city, official sources said.
