Forces watchful of military buildup across border: Padmanabhan

Asserting that there was a military buildup across the border in Pakistan, Army Chief General S Padmanabhan on Wednesday said the forces were 'watching' everything with great deal of interest and would take appropriate action.

"We are watching what is happening across with a great deal of interest," Padmanabhan told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar 'Information Technology: A Strategic Convergence' in Delhi.

"They have moved certain forces in there. Certain forces, which should have gone back, have not gone back."

"To that extent we are watching it and beyond that there is a little to say," Padmanabhan said.

He confirmed the deployment of forces along the border by the Indian side and said the army had a clear idea of 'where we are going and what we are doing'.
