Delhi cop succumbs, toll in Parliament shootout 14

Delhi Police head constable Bijender Singh, who was injured in the December 13 terrorist attack on Parliament, died on Tuesday, police sources said.

With his death, the toll in the incident has gone up to 14, including the five terrorists.

Both the Houses of Parliament observed a minute's silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Singh's body will be handed over to his relatives on Tuesday in the presence of senior police officials.

Singh hails from Badarpur on the Delhi-Faridabad (Haryana) border.
