AP to delete lesson on Narasimha Rao

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to delete a lesson on former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao from the Hindi text book for eighth standard students following his conviction in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha bribery case.

State Education Minister K Srihari told reporters in Warangal on Thursday the government has decided to delete the lesson Deski Pradhani, on the former premier, from the Hindi Bharati text book.

"Rao would have been a model for integrity and honesty. However, he was found involved in a corruption case," Srihari added.
