Flight 814 arrives in Delhi

E-Mail this report to a friend

Flight 814, the Indian Airlines Airbus which was hijacked by terrorists on December 24, arrived in Delhi on Saturday afternoon. It had left Kandahar on Saturday morning.

The Airbus 300 did not leave along with the Alliance Airlines Boeing 737 and the relief Airbus 300 on Friday evening because Indian intelligence officials wanted to be absolutely certain it did not have any explosives on board.

After a thorough check, the plane left Kandahar around 1000 Afghan time. In the cockpit were the pilots who had arrived in the Afghan city last Monday on the relief Airbus 300.
