Patna may witness hectic parleys

E-Mail this report to a friend Special Correspondent in Patna

Patna is likely to witness hectic parleys today as both the National Democratic Alliance and the Rashtriya Janata Dal are keen on staking their claim to form the government.

Senior NDA leaders will be in Patna today to finalise their strategy.

While the NDA has chosen senior Samata Party leader and Union Agriculture Minister Nitish Kumar as its leader, Chief Minister Rabri Devi has been elected the RJD legislative party leader.

Though RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav is confident of forming the government, a lot will depend on the Congress and independents. The Congress is yet to finalise its strategy, but sources say it has no alternative but to support the RJD.
