Infy and Sify at new high on NASDAQ

With the NASDAQ composite index rising to a new high of 4485.63 points, Indian tech stocks in the US have also hit their all-time high.

Infosys or INFY closed at the day's high of $ 528.5 (Rs 23,048), up $ 82.5 over the previous day. The day's low was $ 434 with 183,700 shares changing hands.

At this price, the Infy market capitalisation in the US stands at near $ 3.5 billion. Infosys reached a new high in India yesterday, closing at Rs 9225 after an intra-day high of Rs 9274.

Each American Depository Share is equivalent to one share in India. The American share is trading at a 150 per cent to the Indian share.

Satyam Infoway or SIFY also touched a new high of $ 74.94, up 27.55 per cent over previous day. Traded volumes increased sharply to 3.1 million shares. Its market capitalisation was up to $ 4.7 billion.
