Plotting Tech Battles For The 21st CenturyA P Kamath in Santa Clara Prepare for the Technology Battles of the Next Century is the theme of the two-day Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference and Leadership Awards 1999, organized by siliconindia magazine. Some of the best-known names in Silicon Valley, including Vinod Khosla and Naveen Jain, will offer in-depth insights on semiconductors, telecommunications, software, investment banking, networking, Internet and venture capital. The October 2-3 event is being held at the Santa Clara Convention Center. At a banquet ceremony on the evening of October 2, 10 dynamic individuals will be presented with the first-ever siliconindia Leadership Awards for excellence and promise in the technology sector. Will the cyclicality in the semiconductor sector ever change? What are the limits of Moore's law? Is a $ 300 PC going to happen anytime soon?
