Arunachal governor never offered to quit

E-Mail this report to a friend

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Mata Prasad has neither tendered his resignation nor intended to do so.

The governor's secretary, Jitendra Narain said that media reports in this regard were 'baseless.' ''The governor is of the view that since his tenure has been completed there is no question of tendering resignation. He will relinquish office as and when the President of India desires,'' he said.

Narain also said the governor had not received any communication from the Union home ministry about this.
