Indian Students Association In Steel City

PITTSBURGH

The Indian Students Association welcomes new and returning students to the Indian Room designed to show the Pittsburgh area authentic Indian artwork and examples of architecture.

The University of Pittsburgh Activities Fair attracts large numbers of Indian students. This event is being held on August 30 at David Lawrence and Forbes Quad. It gives students an opportunity to meet with the ISA's current board committees.

The International Week is held from September 21 to 25. ISA will participate in 3 events. the first is the soccer tournament. Simultaneous games will be played from 4 pm to 6 pm on the lawn of the Cathedral of Learning.

If interested in participating or for more information contact Nirali Shah. The second event is the Coffee and Tea House, which is on Thursday, September 24 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the lower lounge of the William Pitt Union.

The ISA will serve tea and biscuits. The last event is the International Fair, which is on September 25 from noon to 5 pm at the William Pitt lawn.

The first ISA party for the semester will be on October 3 at Jameson's Restaurant from 10 pm to 2 am with DC Boys kicking it with eclectic music.

Free Music At obScene Party

NEW YORK

The organizers of the obScene bash on October 1 to launch the www.DesiClub.com are offering a lot of free music to the early arriving guests at New York's celebrity hotspot, 147 (147 West 15th St. Between 6th and 7th Avenues). Free copies of SoundTripps DJ Harry's America's Most Elite and DJ RB-NYC's (subject to release) The NYC Nightlife Album for the first 100 guests.

The music is presented by DJs Ladla, Suhel, RB-NYC (Formerly of DJ Karma), SoundTripps' Harry, and Washington DC's Spindoctor Khaos.

Doors open at 10 pm for some all-night partying; complimentary admission for ladies until 11 pm with guest list.

This event is exclusively for 21 and over. ID required. Jackets preferred on gentlemen; ladies are expected to dress elegantly. Ethnic attire is welcome. Absolutely no jeans, sneakers, hats or streetwear.
