HOME | MOVIES The Grand Jury Prize was given to Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan (seen here with his wife) for Uzak. The two Turkish stars of the film, Muzaffer Ozdemir and Mehmet Emin Toprak, shared the award for Best Actor. Tragically, the 28-year-old Toprak was killed in a car accident last December. Ozdemir skipped the festival because he is too 'camera shy'. Uzak tells the tale of a photographer who is haunted by the feeling that the gap between his ideals and his life is growing.
