Blonde to be wild!

Hormuzd Daruwalla

A still from Legally Blonde Blondes are dumb!

Says who?

In Legally Blonde, Reese Witherspoon (Pleasantville, Election and Cruel Intentions), with her trademark vivacity and oodles of charm, proves otherwise.

She plays Elle Woods -- a gorgeous woman who has everything going for her -- looks, figure, a high school diploma in fashion designing, presidency of her sorority and most importantly, she’s a blonde.

Elle is dating the cutest guy in campus, Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis). Warner hails from a prestigious family who wants him to make it big in life.

So Mr smarty-pants dumps our cute little blondie and leaves for Harvard School. Sniff!

A determined Elle rallies all her resources and gets into Harvard in a desperate bid to win her guy back.

Wait...there’s a twist in the tale.

Warner gets engaged to ex-sweetheart (Selma Blair) from prep school. Of course, Elle is still adamant on winning Warner back, come what may. A still from Legally Blonde

She studies hard and conveniently enough, manages to get good grades. She gets into a top class advocate firm.

Do her efforts pay off? Does she get back with Warner? Check out for yourself.

In the acting department, Reese Witherspoom has done a fabulous job. She portrays a normal fun-loving blonde, mixed with self-confidence with utmost perfection.

Matthew Davis doesn’t have a great role to boast of. To his credit, he does a decent job in that bit part.

Emmett Richmond, playing third-year law student Luke Wilson, recognises Elle’s brilliance and sharp wit and then falls for her (as usual). He comes up with a sincere performance.

Apart from Witherspoon, director Robert Luketic deserves a pat on his back for making a smooth entertainer.

Legally Blonde has a message too. 'Believe in yourself and the world will believe you. So trust me when I say "Go for it".'
