 First Leasing Q3 net profit up 22.88%
 First Leasing Company Ltd. has posted a net profit of Rs 46/- million in the quarter ended August 31, 2000 as compared to Rs 37.44 million in the same period last year. The Income from operations for the quarter ended August 31, 2000 is at Rs 353.05 million as compared to Rs 310.22 million in the same period last year. Other income for the quarter ended August 31, 2000 is at Rs 49.60 million as against Rs 30.73 million in the quarter ended August 31, 1999.

 NETg and NIIT team up to deliver unprecedented e-learning customization choices
 NIIT Ltd. today (September 26, 2000) announced that it has joined the NETg Custom Developer Alliance Program a new e-learning initiative that allows organizations to fully customize NETg "off the shelf" courses and/or create new courses in the industry-unique NETg learning object format.  Techno Electric Board approves rights issue
 The Board of Directors of Techno Electric And Engineering Co Ltd at its meeting held today (September 26, 2000) has approved the rights issue of 13,19,200 equity shares of Rs 10/- each of the company in the ratio of one (1) equity share for every two (2) equity shares held at a premium of Rs 50/- per share.

 Motorol Speciality to raise Rs 300/- million
 The Board of Motorol Speciality Oils Ltd has decided to issue foreign equity in tune of Rs 300 million to be raised by way of issue of equity issue shares of the company at a premium not less than Rs 90/- per share. Fresh infusion of funds will be utilisied for
1. Expansion and modernisation of existing production facilities marketing network including opening of offices and to appoint agents abroad in South East Asia, Middle East & Africa and to acquire manufacturing facilities in South East Asia
2. Repayment of Debts of the company
3. Working Capital requirement of the company
At the Board Meeting held on September 21, 2000 the Board has considered the proposals for issue of Bonus Shares from different view points and has decided to postpone the proposal for issue of Bonus shares.
The Board has decided to boost up R&D activities to strengthen company's position in the specialty lubricants industry. The Board has also decided to explore possibilities to diversify into knowledge & technology base areas.

 United Western Bank Bonus /Rights issue in abeyance
 United Western Bank Ltd has informed BSE that some of the shareholders of the Bank have filed a petition with Company Law Board Principal Bench New Delhi under Sec 397 & 398 of the companies Act 1956.
Hon'ble Bench of the Company Law Board granted the ad-interim order restraining the Bank its Directors employees and agents from in any manner acting upon and/or implementing any resolutions that may be passed in respect of issue of any further equity shares.
In view of the above order the Bank has decided to hold the proposal of Bonus-Cum-Rights issue in abeyance.

 Indo-French Biotech Enterprises Ltd. has informed BSE that, it has been registered with BIFR. Further, it has also informed that, there are 20 cases pending u/s 138 involving a sum of Rs.49.69 million and there are charges of oppression & mismanagement filed by MMTC before CLB, New Delhi.
