Market@September 22: Day's report

Today was one was one of the most bearish day's on Dalal Street in recent times. Panic selling gripped almost all the counters. Most of the software stocks dipped to their 8 per cent downward limit. Few even hit 16 per cent circuit.

Global Tele was at 16 per cent down circuit. Himachal, SSI, DSQ Soft and Aptech also dipped more than 10 per cent each. Other stocks also dipped sharply. In the non-software segement, MTNL, ACC, L&T, ITC, SBI and HLL reported a sharp dip.

Sensex down 225 points at 4032, Nifty down 65 points at 1265.
