 VMF Softech FY 2000 net profit at Rs 15.38 million
 VMF Softech Ltd. has posted a net profit of Rs 15.38 million for the year ended August 31, 2000 as compared to Rs 0.59 million in the same period last year. Net sales for the year ended August 31, 2000 are at Rs 37.08 million as compared to Rs 6.06 million in the same period last year. Other income for the year ended August 31, 2000 is at Rs 29.75 million which includes Profit on sale of its portal Ahmedabad.com Rs 29.72 million The Company has also disposed off all its Aqua assets since that business was discontinued and only Software business is now carried on.

 1 Global Tele-Systems equity share for every 6 Global Electronic Commerce equity shares
 The Board of Directors of Global Tele-Systems Ltd. at their meeting held today (September 20, 2000) has subject to the approval of shareholders and High Court considered and approved the scheme of amalgamation of Global Electronic Commerce Services Ltd. with the company on the basis of recommendations made by the independent valuers viz. RSM & Co and Deloitte Haskins and Sells.
The swap ratio will be for 6(six) shares of the face value of Rs 10 each of Global Electronic Commerce Services Ltd. 1(one) share of the value of Rs 10 each of Global Tele-Systems Ltd.
Necessary application will be made to the High Court Mumbai for convening the meetings of shareholders and creditors for approving the scheme of amalgamation in due course.

 Prime Textiles FY 2000 net profit at Rs 22.56 million
 Prime Textiles Ltd. (formerly ATL Textiles Ltd.) has posted a net profit of Rs 22.56 million for the year ended June 30, 2000 as compared to a net loss of Rs 16.85 million for the same period last year. Net sales for the year ended June 30, 2000 are at Rs 1147.14 million as compared to Rs 976.99 million in the same period last year. Other income has increased from Rs 2.22 million in FY 99 to Rs 3.35 million in FY 2000.
The company has commissioned 3.24 MW power plant for captive usage

 Bharat Petroleum to consider issue of Bonus Shares
 The Board of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. will meet on September 28, 2000 to consider the following proposals:
1. Declaration of Bonus shares
2. Enhancement of the Authorised Capital of the company

 J K Sharma appointed as Whole Time Director of Pearl Global
 Mr J K Sharma has been appointed as Whole-Time Director of the Pearl Global Ltd. wef August 1st 2000 subject to approval of the Central Government.

 BSE to suspend trading in equity shares of Balaji Bonds
 BSE has informed its members that trading in the equity shares of BALAJI BONDS & HOLDINGS LTD (Scrip Code no. 5543) will be suspended with effect from September 21, 2000 until further notice. The decision to suspend trading in scrip has been taken following a complaint by the company that fake share certificates are being delivered in the market. The matter is being investigated.

 BOB ELSS 96 to be converted into an open ended scheme
 The Board of Trustees of BOB Mutual fund has approved the conversion of BOB ELSS'96 into an Open Ended Scheme. Hence, BSE has advised its members not to deal in the units of BOB ELSS' 96 Scheme of BOB Mutual Fund (Scrip Code 32232) with effect from 25th September 2000.

 Reduction of share capital of Neyveli Lignite approved
 Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. has informed BSE that, the Dept. of Company Affairs, Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs, has confirmed the reduction in the share capital from Rs.1796, 78,42,000/- to Rs.1677,70,96,000/- for transfer of Power Transmission System to Power Grid Corpn. of India Ltd.

 With reference to the new item 'Aluminium Companies set to jack up prices'appeared in Financial Daily, Hindalco Industries Ltd. has informed BSE that there is no move towards revision in the prices of Primary Aluminium, as of now.
