Market@September 12: Day's report

Sentiment for the software stocks remained mixed. While Himachal, Infosys and Global Tele remained in demand. DSQ Soft and Sterlite remained under pressure. DSQ Soft also recorded an all-time high volume of 64 lakh shares.

Himachal gained more than 8 per cent and attracted an all-time high volume of 80 lakh shares.

In the non-software segment, ITC gained more than 9 per cent, HLL remained firm and MTNL gained 3 per cent.

Sensex up 69 points at 4766, Nifty up 11 points at 1468.
