Market@September 7: Day's report

The sentiment remained bullish on Thursday. With a gain of more than 13 per cent Global Tele was the star performer. It attracted an all-time high volume of 84 lakh shares. Pentamedia, Zee Tele, Silverline and Sterlite also remained in demand.

In the non-software segment Reliance remained firm in the first half but fell during the later. SBI, Bhel and Ranbaxy also remained in demand. Select pharma stocks also remained in demand. Vikas WSP also attracted an all-time high volume of 5.2 lakh shares and remained extremely volatile during the day.

Sensex up 24 points at 4631, Nifty up 5 points at 1440.
