 Indian Seamless Tubes bags order from ONGC
 Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Ltd. (ISMT) has bagged a substantial casting pipe order from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. ISMT is one of the eight largest seamless tube-manufacturing companies in the world was competing against the big international players. Out of ONGC's total requirement of 45000 tonnes of casting pipes ISMT would be supplying 21,500 tonnes. The order has to be executed in a period of 10 months and ISMT has already geared up and included the additional volumes into its production plan.

 Trigyn Technologies denies news item
 With reference to a news item "Trigyn Technologies plans Nasdaq listing in 2001" appearing in a financial daily Trigyn Technologies Ltd. has informed BSE that the company has no plans to list its shares on NASDAQ or make an ADR issue next year.

 Nocil denies news item
 With reference to news item appearing in a financial daily "Mafatlal keen to turn Nocil in a JV" National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd. has informed BSE that the above mentioned news item is not correct as the company has not initiated any such dialogue with any party.

 Balaji Distilleries to convert FCD into equity shares
 The Board of Directors of Balaji Distilleries Ltd. will meet on September 8, 2000 to convert Fully Convertible Debentures aggregating to Rs 250/- million held by Unit Trust of India into equity shares of the company at a premium of Rs 89.65 per share.

 Dr Reddy's anti-diabetic drug enters phase II
 Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.has informed BSE that DRF-2725, an anti-diabetic molecule discovered by Dr Reddy's Research Foundation (DRF) and licensed to Novo Nordisk in June 1998, has entered Phase II trials of clinical development. As per the terms of the agreement with Novo Nordisk, this event does not trigger any milestone payments at this point of time.
DRFs drug discovery efforts are sponsored by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. So far the Company has received milestone payments of $US 8 million from Novo Nordisk.
Dr Reddys is actively pursuing 5 other compounds in the field of cancer, diabetes and pain management.
Reddy US Inc, (RUI), the discovery research company based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA is now fully operational with a strong team of scientists. RUSI was established in November 1999 specifically to apply molecular, genomic and protomic approaches for the discovery of new drugs.

 Vijaypat Singhania appointed as Chairman Emeritus of Raymond
 Raymond Ltd. has informed BSE that:
a. Shri Vijaypat Singhania ceased to be the Chairman of the Board and he was appointed as Chairman Emeritus.
b. Shri Gautam Hari Singhania, Managing Director was appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Accordingly, Shri Gautam Hari Singhania will function as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company.

 The Board of Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. has approved the scheme of amalgamation of Hometrust Housing Finance Company Ltd. with the Corporation.
Hometrust Housing Finance Company Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Corporation and its entire share capital is held by Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. In view of this, no shares will be issued by the Corporation to the members of Hometrust Housing Finance Company Ltd.
