 Central Pulp FY 2000 net profit up by 137.50%
 Central Pulp Mills Ltd. has posted a net profit of Rs 100.70 million for the year ended June 30, 2000 as compared to Rs 42.40 million in the same period last year. Net Sales for the year ended June 30, 2000 stood at Rs 1390.3 million as compared to Rs 1183.2 million in FY 99.
Other income has decreased from Rs 43.50 million in FY 99 to Rs 18.50 million in the year ended June 30, 2000. Performance of the Company has been much better for the year ended 30th June 2000 due to improved efficiencies and better market conditions in paper industry. The Board of Directors has recommended a final Equity Dividend of 5% in addition to interim Dividend of 5% already paid during the year, making a total Dividend of 10% for the financial Year 1999-2000.

 Sterlite receives order for JFTC Cables from DTS
 Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd. has received orders for supply of JFTC cables valued at Rs 4250 million from the Department of Telecommunication Services (DTS) against their annual tender.
The DTS has released orders on all the firms for all sizes except one size i.e.200 pair cable. The DTS had earlier released orders on other firms including Sterlite's subsidiaries. Sterlite's order, which was kept pending, has now been released.

 BSE imposes special margin on 41 scrips
 The Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that Additional Volatility Margin (AVM) has been imposed on the following Scrips for settlement No. 24/2000-2001 commencing on 04 September 2000,.Please note that AVM would be computed on the net outstanding Purchase or Sales positions as may be applicable including carryforward positions at the end of day at the rates given below. The rates of AVM would be remain unchanged for the entire settlement.

 SSI Ltd. has informed BSE that, SSI Technologies, a software division of the company, has launched SecuraTRADE, a web based trading solution of IndigoMARKERS Inc (a Bermuda Corporation) to enable internet trading solutions in the Indian Stock market scene, on the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
