Market@October 20: Day's report

The sentiment remained mixed on Friday. After a firm open, the software stocks came under strong selling pressure in the second half. Pentamedia, Zee Tele and Aptech were dowm more than 5 per cent each.

Infosys however did well, and gained more than 6 per cent. Himachal, DSQ Soft and Wipro also gained. Sentiment for the non-sofware stocks remained dull. Reliance, Ranbaxy, HLL and ITC dipped sharply, while, Tisco and ACC gained smartly.

Sensex down 11 points at 3692, Nifty up 3 points at 1169.
