Market@November 29: Day's report

Software stocks remained weak during the first half but recovered in the second half of day's trade. Himachal was the major gainer. It gained about 3 per cent. Silverline, Wipro and Satyam also recovered smartly.

The sentiment remained mixed for the non-software stocks. While ITC, HLL and ACC remained firm, Telco, Tisco, Bhel, L&T and Guj Ambuja remained under pressure.

Sensex down 27 points at 3997, Nifty down 8 points at 1265.
