Market@July 18: Day's report

The sentiment remained negative for a major part of the day and values remained weak. Few counters like SBI, Tisco and ITC however attracted buying interest and remained firm.

Meanwhile, the software stocks remained under pressure and a large number of them showed a negative close. The trading volume was resonable on both exchanges.

Sensex down 13 points at 4734, Nifty down 13 points at 1466.
