Market@December 27: Day's report

The technology stocks showed a corrective rally on Wednesday. With a gain of more than 9 per cent, Himachal was the major gainer. Other technology stocks like Global Tele, SSI, DSQ Soft and Dig Equipment also recovered smartly.

Infosys however lost one per cent with an all-time high volume of 13.2 lakh shares traded.

In the non-software segment, stocks like HLL, Grasim, Reliance, L&T, Bhel, Tata Tea, and MTNL managed to attract strong buying interest.

Sensex up 62 points at 3889, Nifty up 23 points at 1235 points.
